Central Heat Pumps

Central heat pumps are an energy-efficient solution for heating and cooling homes in Port Moody, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and neighboring areas, providing year-round comfort with lower energy consumption.

Not all heat pumps are the same. Performance, efficiency, and cold-weather operation can vary significantly between systems. That’s why we recommend systems based on your home’s layout, insulation, and heating requirements—not just what’s popular.

For our West Coast climate, low ambient heat pumps are essential. These systems are designed to maintain strong heating capacity even in colder temperatures, reducing the need for electric backup heat and improving overall efficiency.

We provide heat pump installation, repair, and maintenance, and service all major brands to keep your system running efficiently year-round.

Ductless Heat Pumps

Ductless heat pumps (mini-split systems) have long been a popular solution in Port Moody, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and neighboring areas, especially for homes without existing ductwork or for room-by-room comfort control.

They are an excellent option for condos and townhomes with electric baseboard heating, offering a highly efficient upgrade to provide both heating and air conditioning in one system.

We install and service all major ductless brands. Our premium systems include Mitsubishi Electric and Daikin, known for their performance, reliability, and advanced features. We also offer cost-effective options to suit a range of budgets—always recommending the right system based on your home and comfort needs, not upselling.

Whether you’re looking for a single-zone or multi-zone ductless heat pump, our team provides professional installation, repair, and maintenance to keep your system running efficiently year-round.

Marco called us out of the blue after our heat pump has been installed for over 2-3 years and let us know, that there is a service that can be done within warranty, scheduled a technician and got it sorted all within 2 weeks. We didn't even know about the warranty service and was so impressed that the aftersale care Marco demonstrated. When you don't have to ask for help and it arrives, it's the best feeling! Thank you Marco!

I gave the contract to Rocky Point Heating and Air Conditioning to install my heat pump - work was completed 2 months ago. I cannot say enough good things about Marco and his team. Right from the first meeting to completion day they have been really wonderful. Marco answered all my questions promptly and with great patience. After completion one of the internal units was making an unusual noise so I messaged Marco. He had Alex come over the very next day. The unit was fixed within a couple of hours. Thanks Alex!! Great service, great staff, great company.

I don't know why anyone would choose another company. Rocky point was able to replace our furnace very quickly after it failed. Led by Marco, they were all thorough and proactive communicators, they saved us thousands from helping us make the right decisions, they went above and beyond in the work, and the whole team was very professional throughout the whole process. The other companies that we had quote and advise us really helped us make the decision. The competitors (also highly rated on google) were slow to get back to us or never did, they quoted us up to $10,000 more for things we didn't need, and one of them was using annoying and concerning pressure tactics to get us to sign before anyone else could quote.

We’re so happy with Rocky Pt. H&AC! We’d bought a new dual fuel, downdraft stove and were unhappy with the store’s install team “inspection”, estimate etc. So we called Marco at RPHAC and he sent Alex over a few hours later to take a look, then booked our install for the following week - at a much lower rate than the other company. Tristan arrived and got right to work on this difficult job (old stove vent went in different direction than the new stove’s), with Marco coming by to ensure all was going well. (Photo shows stove before we removed front wrap.) Highly recommend this smaller local company and their team!

We recently had heat pump installation in the condo. The staff were friendly, knowledgeble and very efficient. It was alot of construction but the condo was clean at the end of each day. We were extremely pleased with communication throughout the process. Nothing was too much to ask. We highly recommend Rocky Point Heating for heating and AC installation.

Rocky Point HVAC , the team of Marco, David, Tristan and Alex were fabulous to work with. Marco did our estimate promptly and scheduled our work in two stages as we needed the hot water portion done quickly. All work was completed within two weeks , efficiently and very cleanly. From start to finish we were impressed with the workmanship and the attitudes of the installers, pleasant, polite and respectful ( and very kind to our dog). Highly recommend these gentlemen for your HvAC and hot water on demand needs.

Rocky point heating installed a heat pump for me and I can’t say enough good things about them. They were on time and provided friendly professional service. in addition, they took the time to orient me to the new heat pump and thermostat. They even left the work area spotlessly clean. I highly recommend this company.
